Also if you do make a server for Icarus, I can always hop in and at least build you some better rain catchers and good steel tools, a recurve bow, some good arrows and an oxygen bottle/canteen, so they don’t leak and last longer. And just help build up your main base, more durable and capable. Gather some materials. Electricity and water network, those those 2 things would take longer.

You can max blue prints, with out cheating, you never stop getting blue print points even when hit level cap, oh my lvl 60 kills instantly, most non boss targets, and no edits needed, it’s called the compound bow, with talents maxed out for damage/pinning. Shot, some bleed damage and the deadly 3 talent, rocking composite arrows. And the farming talent for 4 food buffs, and good food. With all those, I can kill any non big scorpion, with a single arrow, a couple times over, but yeah, I get what you’re saying. About edits and then one shoting everything, have seem some vids like that awhile ago. That just seems boring to do.

The cave scanner was your other lvl 50 test character, is tier 3. And no, wood to sticks, or leather to rope on character are useless wastes of valuable, limited talent points, as you can do both of those things with low tier benches, don’t waste the talent to respec. Same thing with auto pick up of wood, total waste of a talent. My opinion caveat scanners are also useless, but they only cost blueprint points a few materials, as you still have to run around and physically find the cave, they only give a vague direction, which they are so easy to find anyways, just run along the cliffs as you travel, you’ll find all the caves, and check behind waterfalls and in lakes. Never made a cave scanner, never will, as a waste of inventory/hot bar slot and a waste of materials. I don’t see the use of any of those, or wasting a talent point on arctic/ghillie armor am fairly experienced, played since shortly before open world was released, never once have I died to cold in the arctic, wasted talent, butter armor is good enough. Especially paired a good enviro suit from the station. Which are so easy to get since almost all the missions added to open world. If any of you like those things/use them, cool, good for you, play however you wish/prefer. I personally don’t see the need for any of them, not have I needed them. I rock full composite armor, compound bow, composite arrows with deadly 3 modifier, all titanium tools and knife, taxidermy knife, 4 food slots and great 4 foods for buffs that buff, literally everything you need but carry slots/weight. Oh also run titanium crossbow and bolts with deadly 3 for the arctic big scorpions and polar bears if needed. Not that I’m super good, I just try to optimize without making it un-fun. I just have lots of time and game experience, so i can rock resource heavy things as I've figured out what works and doesn't for me. And yes, I had to burn like 6 of my free respec points from what i consider to be dumb talent choices.

try with debian, i got it to work on arch but i tried building it on debian and it wouldnt work, the build documents suck so you have to get all the dependencies from the pkgbuild file

Everytime you pass by the Watermelon patch, I was shouting on my seat - "Pick-it-up Please !". Watermelon is a very good source of Water and you can carry a bunch with you. Also Wild Berries give a tiny amount of water. One more point, you don't need the Hammer to remove the Buildable Objects. Just point at the object (walls, floors, roof, etc) and press "Y". it will return to your inventory. Also, when your character is new and you are starting from Zero, you have to be very careful with the talent points as they are limited. You cannot get more than 60 point as when you reach 60, you will not get anymore as off now. So what you need is - Base Health, Base Stamina, Base Movement Speed, Inventory Weight Capacity, etc. Cooked Meat gives/restores your health and stamina. Always keep some with you. When you hunt aim for the head as that is the only way to get maximum points and faster kill. If an animal chases you, never run away, instead use knife for a melee combat. If you run away, they have more speed than you and will keep attacking you and you will die. So better use knife as it will kill. Bears are bit tricky to kill, but not impossible. You will have to use the trick Matadors use with the bull. Just step aside as soon as the bear is running towards you. Use bow and arrow when it is away from you. The best thing about dragon riding available in old content is this : we can finally finish the BFA pathfinding achievement in order to buy the map for all of our alts. This must be a bug because somehow the shadowland map was available without any pathfinding achievement but somehow the BFA needs that. With dragon riding in 10.2.5, this is much easier than ever.
